PRESIDENT 'S MESSAGE
Tony Gray
President
I extend warmest greetings to all members and also to everyone who has at any time attended meetings, participated in activities, or helped the Association in any way. May 2019 bring to all of you Peace and Love, Hope and Joy, Good Health and Prosperity.
The approach of the New Year is a time to make new resolutions, some of which might be personal, which, with patience and persistence, you might achieve, others might be for family, friends or for society in general.

But most of all, I ask you to remember the Atlanta Jamaican Association and resolve to help it to maintain a high standard of achievement, and to be a “guiding light” influencing the entire metro Atlanta community. There is much to be done, but the “laborers are few”. Therefore, let us cooperate and communicate even more in the coming year, so that we can truly uphold the AJA motto: “Together in Harmony.”
In 2019, let us resolve to focus on achieving the following:
-
The acquisition of our own building, which will be history-making and a real blessing;
-
Expanding the membership and ensuring the involvement of our young people, who should contribute new ideas, enliven and rejuvenate the group, and also be able to take up the baton in the future;
-
The expansion of the Scholarship Awards, to help more of our youth acquire a good education.
-
Taking a special interest in families, and being willing to offer assistance where necessary, helping particularly in times of distress, deaths, and natural disasters; and last but not least
-
Spreading Jamaican culture throughout the Atlanta Community, especially among the youth.
Your 2019 Board is excited and committed to forging some new paths, with your involvement and support.
Through our attitude and our actions in the coming year, let us uphold with dignity both the Jamaican motto, “Out of Many One People” and the AJA motto, “Together in Harmony.” Peace and Love.
Sincerely,
Tony Gray
